National Performance Competition


Olive Cronin and her pony Chelton Fairy Lights were the 2022/23 Overall Winners of the National Performance Competition
Ataahua Enchanting, winner of the NZRP Open Performance Competition three times.

• The person making the entry into this competition must be a current financial member of the New Zealand
Riding Pony Society.
• The National Performance Competition runs from 1st May – 30th April.
• The competition is open to all ponies 148cm and under that are fully registered with the NZRP Society.
• Rider’s age as per RAS rules and regulations.
• Completed score sheets and entry forms are to be with the Performance Co-ordinator by 30th April 2024, along
with the entry fee. Entry fee payable by direct debit, bank account details on entry form.
• Events eligible for inclusion in the Open Pony and Junior Pony competition are: open and novice
conformation classes on the flat, NZRP sash classes, and open and novice paced & mannered classes.
• Events eligible for inclusion in the Lead Rein and/or First Ridden Pony competition are: open and novice
classes, NZRP sash classes, and open and novice paced & mannered classes.
• Events eligible for inclusion in the Versatility Trophy Competition are: conformation classes on the flat, paced
and mannered classes, dressage, mounted games, round the ring jumping, working hunter, show jumping,
show hunter, and eventing.
• No turnout/best presented, district/local, or led classes are accepted (these include dry mare, gelding, and
handler classes).
• Awards will be presented at the Society’s AGM, and winners will be notified prior.
